Error Message when syncing music to phone

Can anyone help me with the error message I'm getting when I try to sync music to my Samsung S4 Mini please?

"It is not possible to obtain the device's certificate. Please contact the device manufacturer for a firmware update or for other steps to resolve this problem."

I've been able to download it from the CD to my laptop but can't get it from there to my phone.

Welcome to Android Central! How are you trying to sync? Are you just connecting the phone via USB and using Windows Media Explorer to drag and drop?

Hi

Yes but when I try to sync it says I don't have permission. I've successfully transferred this music to my husband's MP3 so its not the music.
