Re: [LINK][SPRINT] [ROM][PREALPHA][UNOFFICIAL]SPH-L720 CM 10.1 Port Project

Despite all the ongoing drama over which device is better.... The S4 already has a pre alpha CM port and other goodies! For that reason alone I have always loved Samsung ;)

Beta 1 building now that Prealpha 15 - current links on SXTP Developers - booted.
A few issues but working on those.

For those not following the linked page, Beta 3 uploaded. Noobnl (long time CDMA maintainer for CM) is now on the scene and figured out call issues in short order.

Beta 3 had display issues and was pulled quickly. Beta 4 is uploading now and display has been tested before posting.

New build posted with RC1 tags. At this point we're fairly stable and debugging relatively minor issues.

Re: [LINK][SPRINT] [ROM][PREALPHA][UNOFFICIAL]SPH-L720 CM 10.1 Port Project

I'm having an issue trying to flash CM10.1 to my GS4... While trying to install inside TWRP, I get the following:

Updating partition details...
Installing '/external_sd/cm-10.1-20130513.zip'...
Checking for MD5 file...
Skipping MD5 check: no MD5 file found.
Updating partition details...

It says Successful but, the ROM doesn't actually install.

I'm on a biz trip right now at a hotel with a HORRIBLE broadband pipe. Could this error be in regards to a 'bad' download?

Thanks ahead of time for your help.

Update:

Fixed. I didn't do a complete wipe before flashing.

Hi. I flashed the ROM, but I am now having difficulties with the phone app; there is no audio! In addition, the GPS cannot seem to lock no matter how long I wait. other than that, I love the ROM!

Gps... restore tw, get a lock. Then restore cm WITHOUT wiping cache/dalvik. It defies all common wisdon but will fix the gps lock problem.

Final build from me regarding beta unofficial is up. Future builds from me will either be test or something not "pure" CM (meaning not a sync/build.)
As of tonight you should start seeing nighlies from CM website itself. See note at top of OP for more.

Thanks again for noobnl putting up with me doing these builds while get got set up. May not seem like much to some but for a first dive into AOSP it was truly enlightening for me.
