We're never going to be satisfied. We're always wanting the next greatest thing. Some of these devices are evolving quicker than our wallets can keep up. It's gettin a little too crazy!

I would be happy with 1080p screen and quad core processor. The sgs3 is plenty fast and smooth and can only imagine how impressive the s4 would be with a non pentile screen and quad core processor.

I have the Galaxy S2 LTE and though its out dated now I don't feel the urge to upgrade quite yet. I'm sure the S4 is going to be a lot more powerful than my S2 LTE but I want something a little more different. I have downloaded SKY Jelly Bean over at XDA with touchwiz 4.0. My phone's UI looks like S3 now. I don't have any performance issues either. I'm holding out for the Note 3 for a 1080p screen and much larger display compared to mine. Aside from that I'm hoping Samsung refreshes the UI even more which I'm sure they will along with some new software features. Other thing I'm excited about is what Google does with Android 5.0 and when they release it.

well they were going to go that route with the note 2 but sony couldnt mass produce enough sensors so makes sense they would use that in the s4 if they already had plans to in the note 2

I'd like to see a really good hands free system built into the S4/ Note 3 that is better than siri, s-voice, google now and drive mode. I'd also like to see a big improvement in the battery life department. Everything else is icing on the cake for me.

android 4.2 isn't key lime pie, it is still jelly bean. key lime pie is rumored to be announced in may. if i were you, i would just get the nexus 4...it has all of the specs of the gs3 and its cheaper. the only disappointment is that it doesn't have LTE activated already, but you can learn how to activate it on you tube. for only 300 unlocked its the best phone out there! plus since its Google's official phone, you get the new updates the day of. it comes with 4.2 already. good luck!

I hope you are answering the wrong thread, but even so, and I am not going to start this argument, the N4 is nowhere near the s3. The n4 is a shiny turd.

I don't think "compete" is the right word. "Keeping pace" and seeing what patents have been violated are more appropriate . As long as the i5s remains a closed ecosystem, it will eventually erode their base. Customization, adding storage, removing the battery, NFC and larger screen sizes as well as better battery life are features that appeal to more and more former Apple users.

I don't want to go backwards because even my current Thunberbolt offers SVDO.
I'm curious if all the next generation of processors will lose the ability to do Simultaneous Voice and Data over cdma since Big Red is close to completing it's nationwide LTE network.
That takes more battery power so it appears as if only Qualcomm through it's Snapdragon processors is keeping that ability. Probably because cdma was a Qualcomm staple and they may own the patent (just guessing).
I would prefer to stay with vzw and a smartphone that offers SVDO for the next year or two.
By 2015 all of the carriers should have nationwide LTE and then it will be interesting to see what Big Red can do to keep it's price premium.

Yes qualcomm does own cdma. Hence almost all HTC devices run on cdma
