I hope that's not it. It looks like more of the same, i.e. last generation aesthetics.

Personally I don't think the One can be bested from a design standpoint.

Totally disagree. Substance over style any day. The GS4 will sell because its performance will best the competition.

Now i know that according to that article here on android central that picture from @evleaks is possibly only a "speculative product info page" picture.

However i couldn't help but notice the similarity to this mockup

    Possible Galaxy S4 First Look??-possible-s4.jpg

and according to some of the case leaks, the cameras set up on the back would make sense as well. I don't really understand what they would both be for, but i guess we will see next week.

It being a photoshop could be completely separate from them being real.

    See, e.g., Jalopnik's renders of the C7 Corvette...which were about 98% accurate.

Yup your right....the pic was found that it did NOT come from Samsung but indeed a Photoshop impression of what someone thinks it would look like

I like the render with the two speakers on the front. However, this would very little room for the home button. Hope the home button is smaller if physical but a capacitive one would help with the two speaker render. Eight more days and the mystery will be unveiled. Are you ready "4" for it?

Yeah, marketing is the key. That's why the MS Surface is the top selling tablet.

Screen look closer to the edge than on GN2, and the 3 dots are not at the same place... that is the only differences

Home buttons are regressive design. I want them to ball out and actually take a risk, and by risk, I mean adopt Google's design language from 2 years ago.

Yeah, marketing is key, that's why the iPad is the best selling tablet, and why the Galaxy S3 far outsold phones in its class, i.e. the HTC One X. Comparing the newcomer, like the Surface, was largely irrelevant here as neither the Galaxy line, nor HTC's One line are newcomers to the mobile phone industry.

I would have many fewer hesitations about purchasing Samsung-built Android devices if this were to happen. I prefer Google's Design Guidelines for Android by far, and seeing Samsung align themselves with these principles would not only make their stock software much more appealing to me, but it would strengthen Android as a whole, for two reasons:

    1. Samsung is, as we all know, the leading Android handset manufacturer. Having them adopt even a bit more of Google's design language and vision for Android would help unify all the Android users' perception of the operating system.
    2. Read this. "Google worried by Samsung's Dominance of Android." Personally, I think it is very much a valid concern. Samsung taking a version of Android and branching off could do significant damage to the momentum that Google's vision for Android has been building post-ICS.
