Where can I find the specs on the radio this phone will have? If it had the same crap cell radio as the S3 and S2, will be passing. I know we have no idea how the bad the battery will be, but judging by the jellybean nightmare on the S2 and S3, I am sure the battery will suck.

You sound like you have your mind made up to hate it before it's ever released, so why even bother? My S3 has no battery or signal problems.

Thats all i was thinking... basically read it this way "anyone know how much this thing sucks before i decide personally how much it sucks based on how much the last one sucked? eh i might get it... but probably not"

Good thing you have no clue what you are talking about then! No, my mind is not made up. I have been a samsung guy since the M800 before the instinct. 10 years of Samsung phones, 2 Samsung monitors, 3 Samsung TV's, 4 Samsung PC DVD Roms, Samsung Receiver and Blu Ray Player.

How about you contribute to the conversation, as opposed to judge me.

Do you have one of the 1% of S3's with good battery life? Or did you turn all your settings off, screen on low, apps to toggle the battery life, and live in a LTE market.

My S3, and all 23 S3's where I work all drop calls and have terrible battery life. Same at my Wife's work place, in a different city.

Same with My son's S2 and best friends S2, after the JB update. I just used 4% of my battery making a 18 minute phone call. 41 minutes off the charger, 4% gone. 11 minutes of screen time.

The S3 does not suck, but to say the battery life and radio are good, that's blind fanboism. I full planned on buying this phone, until I went to Las Vegas week and every casino I went to, I had no signal, and no signal standing outside in front of the Bellagio, at street level, watching the fountains.

My phone no signal, no roam, no nothing. Every asian girl around me, iCrap Phones in hand, sending pictures to facebook, Droid guys doing the same. My S3 dead, my wife's S3 dead....

I must be in the 1%...

No special settings, no effort to make the phone work better, and I get about a day-and-a-half of battery. I've been off the charger for 11 hours and I 'm at 69%. It's better than my old Galaxy S while being faster and offering up better data speeds. Sometimes it will get stuck (about every ten days) and drain the battery quickly, but I just power down and power back up when that happens.

Signal strength is generally as good as the other phones around me. I do have trouble getting HSPA+ in all regions, but those are generally areas where other LTE (on Verizon) fails, as well. I also have had trouble deep in Las Vegas casinos, but that has been the case for multiple manufacturers across the last decade.

I have also run across problems with battery life after system updates (Android and iOS). I'm not really sure of the cause in these cases, but a factory reset has always fixed the problem.

there is no problem with using battery saving apps, I get over 10hrs with mine
You can also get an extended battery
Also if you experience problems after you have upgraded...Factory Resseting will refresh the OS and will fix most problems including battery life

One of my friends had horrible battery life on his S3, getting les than 5 hrs, after he factory reset he get 13 hrs...more than me!

The S4 is supposed to have better battery life than the S3 when tested

It will most likely have the same radio, and the signal and battery will suck, so you should skip the phone and get something else. The radio, and battery in my Note 2 are amazing.

1%? Talk about not knowing wth you're talking about! I love people who make up statistics since they can't back their position up any other way. You got a bad phone. If you don't trust Samsung on that basis, fine. But don't come here and tell us 99% of the phones out there are crap since you have a bad one. Go get something else and get over it. Jeez.
If you want more battery, you have a choice. Razr Maxx. Note 2, Extended battery.

10-13 hours is garbage battery time. When the S3 came out, I got 36 hours on a battery.

I work 12 hour shifts, I get 30 minutes for lunch, 30 mins of ttoal drive time. That's 13.5 hours a day. I shouldn't have to be married to a charger to get through a day with a phone. This is a thing we have come to expect, letting these phone makers off the hook. It is not okay to get 10-13 hours on your phone.

Yes, I did make that up. It was just to prove a point. A simple google search, however, will show who is more correct. The S3 does NOT have okay battery life. It sucks. Google is your friend.

Yup, you proved your point all right. You have chip on your shoulder for this phone. My S3 lasts about as long as the DNA - from experience. It lasts as long as my iPhone. From experience. It does not last as long as the Note 2 or Razr Maxx. From experience. It holds signal as well as any of those phones. Say it with me - from experience. So yeah, I guess the iPhone or DNA wouldn't suit you either. Get a Maxx or Note 2. Or an extended battery.

I like a lot of features that Samy offers on Android. But keeping it real, Samsung is not known for strong RF.
I am considering the S4, but truthfully. The radio is my concern as well.
I will say my Stellar makes a full day on a charge.

With expierience, I don't think "chip on your shoulder FOR this phone" means what you think it does.

Playing with a chip on your shoulder usually means that you are underestimated, and therefore you play harder and better to prove doubters wrong.

You don't know me, at all. You are an internet board warrior who made an assumption about a poster, based on a single thread. You are made of fail.

I don't know anything about this phone. I do know 29 people with S3's on all three carriers. They ALL have terrible battery life. 100% of us, from expierience. My phone has been crappy since the updates. From expierience. Did the SD card reformat, and the factory reset. From expierience. It didn't help. From Expierience. The issue is with the last update. The other issue is the weak *** radio. From Expierience. Every iPhone on Sprint, I have seen gets a signal in the same elevator my signal dies in. From Expierience.

If the S4 has the same crap radio, I will finally get a non Samsung phone. That is too bad, I hate Blurr and I loathe Sense. Will not use an iPhone. Period.

I had the GS3 on Verizon and I now have the Note 2. The GS3 did a good job of locking on to signal, but it wasn't as good as the Razr Maxx HD, which I also tried for a couple weeks. The Note 2 is better than both as far as the radio goes. I travel across a 3 state territory for a living and I am on the phone a lot. There are rural areas that I can now continue a conversation on my Note 2 where I would drop the call on the GS3, RMHD, and the iPhone 4s before the GS3. I really hope the GS4 has the same radio as the Note 2 because the idea of all of the same features of the Note 2 in a slightly smaller body is appealing to me.
