I like all the times I'm seeing here.aha I should've taken a screenshot of my battery yesterday. I recently got mine 3 days ago and uhh yesterday I managed to go from 100% to 63% in 11 hours with LTE on (starting from 8am), all day texting after 12:30pm, used Navigation for 10 minutes, and used chrome to search for latest news on cnet (I also did disable multiple apps in the hopes of killing any background process from apps that aren't needed). I had location services on, bluetooth on and all that, and I tried to drain the battery after 7pm by turning up the brightness and watching a documentary on youtube (1.5 hours) and searching for some intstrumentals of songs for karaoke purposes to anger my sister. By 11pm, I will still only down to 27%. I'll try to remember to screenshot my battery tonight before I go to sleep but I haven't really done anything today other than disabling more apps and trying to figure out why Google Services eats so much battery during standby..

Don't know if this is normal or not.
I'm a light/moderate user. Primarily texting and checking social media stuff.
Also sorry if the pictures are big.

I have to charge once a day and loose about 20% within the first 2h. I make maybe 3 - 5 calls, send less than 10 txt messages and listen to music 45 minutes a day...

What I noticed from the screen shots is that the average Android OS is about 10% while mine is 80% and that's with zero active applications. My phone also gets hot as hell if I use.

How do you guys get such good battery life on this phone?? I came from an iPhone 4s which I used to comfortably get about 16 hours on (which is fine by me as my usual day is about 13 hours. On this phone I could barely squeeze in 14 hours. I always run out of battery before I get back home from work. I have all the fancy Galaxy features off and just have wifi, gps, and data on. Have auto brightness on. Really don't understand how people are getting so much battery life on this phone.

Turn of auto-brightness...it is NOT a power saving feature and it will consume considerably more power than just leaving your brightness set a static level (assuming that static level is at least below 50%)

Turn on power save!!!

Sent From the BEAST NOTE 2...

Never. I'm certainly not throttling the CPU.

It looks like you barley use the phone so it makes sense that it lasts forever. What's your screen on time?

Sent from my Sprint HTC One using AC forums.

Did you somehow miss the post directly above yours?

I did. But either way I was right :).

To me, battery performance in standby is just as important as when used heavily...if not perhaps more so.

If I'm actively using the phone, I actually expect the battery to drain, but I used to hate it when my old Thunderbolt would lose 10%/hour when I wasn't even using it!

I'm in the same boat - including having just come from a iPhone 4s with similar battery life before coming to the S4.

I'm not sure what I'm doing wrong compared to others but I'm just not seeing that sort of battery life.

Well let's try this today. Although I really like having auto brightness on. But if it saves me a considerable amount of battery I guess I could live with it.
