Led light a bug or planned

When I plug in charger red led will only show when screen is off. on my old evo lte it will show when screen is on or off.I leave my phone as a night clock overnight and will like to see if phone is green and fully charged. Is there a setting that I am missing

I think this is typical of Samsung devices. When the screen is on, you can at least see the charging indicator in the notification bar.

When the screen is off and charging the led is red. When you turn the screen on the red led shuts off.
When the screen is off and phone is fully charged, but still plugged in, the led is green.

This. You can turn it off if you want by going to system settings > display > LED indicator.. And then uncheck the "charging" option. Then the red light won't show anymore.

When i downloaded lightflow the talk back feature kicked in and I couldn't take it off so I had to uninstall
