4G and wifi bot show up in status bar

I am connected to my home wifi buy the 4G icon won't go away. Any ideas?

I have the same issue. even though i am on the big red one i called tech support and was told That even though they both show when connected to wifi , wifi will be the one in use. I have been monitoring my data usage and found this to be true.

Go to application manager and disable Caller Name ID.

The trial software is the one that's causing this issue.

That worked. That's so weird. Why would that make the 4g symbol show up.

As have I. I just haven't seen this on a DROID before.

My Fiances' Maxx does the same thing. However, Motorola made it a bit easier to know what you are using. When Wifi is on both Wifi and 4G show up but Wifi is blue and 4G is greyed out. And when mobile data is in use 4G or 3G is blue.

Wish Samsung made an easy distinction like this.

Thank You! That was driving me nuts. We have 2 S4's. One was doing it and one wasn't. All settings were the same. Your info fixed it. Thanks.

I disabled the Caller ID app as suggested and my phone kept scanning as before...

Now since yesterday mine is doing this as well. Can't figure out why, always when I switched on wifi, mobile data icon went away. Now it remains always on with wifi being used, must of been some dumb app update tho I don't know what one. Halp me it's annoying. I also don't have the caller ID app.




looool figured it out, was the bell push to talk update from yesterday. Just uninstalled it and poof it disappeared, figured that was it, now I wish I never wrote this post, lol...
