I just updated to the new firmware and moved over 1GB of apps to ny SD Card.

Pretty good on my opinon, but how has battery life been?

Any I9500 users updated yet?

I don't have the update so i can't help you with battery life
But i have a question. Let's say a game is 800mb. How much of that goes on the card and how much stays on your phones memory?
Data stays on the phone correct?

Here are some improvements contained in the update. Battery life is not mentioned. Have you noticed any effect of the other improvements?

Improvements and fixes in the new Software Update:
-New Camera firmware
-Smearing issue has been fixed (Purple effect while scrolling)
-Smart Pause Toggle
-Move Apps to SD Card
-HDR Video (Can record HDR video)
-Semi-transparent status bar
-New Icons in Settings
-Secure boot status (About Phone)
-Increase legibility (Display) (New feature)

I got the update pushed by my provider, I'm in Indonesia.

How much is moved to the SD Card, I'm not too sure, but it seems thats some apps are fully moved and some mostly data.

After updating, my phone got really hot and my battery lasted like 10 hours. I usually get 16-24 hours battery life depending how much I use it. I'm guessing the phone getting hot and minimal battery life is because the software is setting in.

Was looking at Google Currents, which can have several hundred MB of data. Moving it to the SD card moves some, but not all, of the app to the SD card, but none of that data chunk.
So out of 40 MB for Currents, 26MB of data is on the device. 7 MB of the app went to the SD card and a few kb of data.

Will be interesting to hear if the bulk of the games files are moved over.

This is significant!

Just installed Real Racing 3 as a fresh download.

Checked the App storage with Real Racing 3 after downloading. Before hitting anything in App info, and WITHOUT hitting "Move to SD card":
Total: 1.29 GB
Application: 9.45 MB
SD card app: 0.00B
Data: 196KB
SD card data: 1.29GB

So there you have it. App data went straight to the SD card. I could move some of the app itself, but it's hardly worth it with the 1.29GB already on the card.
