I am new to a Galaxy S4 Jelly Bean. I had a Galaxy SII with Gingerbread. I could never send MMS messages.

I got my new S4 and replaced the stock messaging app with Handcent. Found out it did not like this phone so installed GO SMS Pro. It works fine.

Thing is, neither of the apps will send pictures - MMS messages - ever. I can receive pictures but cannot send them.

I set the APN settings manually but still no luck.

I now don't have the stock Jelly Bean messaging app, either, to see if it even worked on that.

So anyone know how to send MMS messages using GO SMS Pro? I am on a Telus phone (through PC Financial).

I've been searching Google and forums for days and no one's solution has worked for me. Please help!

I think it's a limitation in both of those apps. Go to the settings and look for MMS - seems like there is something to do with having their premium (paid) service. I can't remember - also some have complained that they can't send MMS while on WiFi - check around for that, too. Try CHOMP SMS - that's what I switched to when Handcent and Go SMS were giving me different issues.

They both say they WILL work and I've checked all the settings.

I will try Chomp. Thank you!!

It doesn't work, either :(

I wish I could get my stock messaging app back just to see if it ever worked. I've never used the stock messaging app so deleted it as soon as I got the phone. I really don't want to do a factory reset then start customizing my phone all over again :(

I've tried Chomp, GO SMS Pro, and Handcent and none will send picture messages.

I've set the VPN according to my phone.

Nothing.

:( :'(

You deleted the stock app?

Are you rooted? If not, then you need to go back into settings and bring it back. The only issue is that MMS don't do WiFi. You need to be on your carriers network to receive MMSs.

Yes, I stupidly deleted the stock app.

I am not rooted.

I do not know how to get it back. Can you help?

Or if your on wifi just ensure mobile data is on and the phone will automatically deal with it.

Call your mobile carrier and speak to them. I had the same problem. Tell them your situation and they'll sort you out. I never noticed before as I had an iPhone and literally everyone I know had iMessage, aha.
