Stop "email didn't sync" Notifications (Vibrate/Beep)

Hi,

So I have my email set to sync and when it's unable to (not in a good data area or the yahoo server just didn't want to connect at that moment), the phone either vibrates or beeps (depending on my ring settings) in addition to notifying me in the notification bar on top.

I have NO problem with the notification bar on top but the constant vibrating or beeping is driving me batty. I have searched long and hard for any setting to stop this from happening and can't find one... any suggestions?
