Lock screen problems

So every couple days or so my lock screen will just not work like the lock circle thing will come up but when i try sliding nothing happens it just doesnt respond the only way to unlock it is to pull the notification bar down and press one of the notifications like a text for example and i have to restart my phone to fix it does anyone know why this happens or how to fix it?

Try a hard reset. I know it's a pain but it should fix whatever is causing it.

haha that's what i was dreading

probably that quirky lock screen animation stuff that pops up when you swipe out of the box or something. I think it's normal.
