I just got my Galaxy Monday.. I'm not sure if it drains this fast because I'm always on it or what. I reset it yesterday and it still drains pretty fast. I watched plenty of YouTube videos that said the battery is really good and that they can watch videos and make phone calls for long periods of time. Is it just that I use my phone too much or what ?

Just reply to one thread so it doesn't get confusing. But yes that is very bad battery life. I'm a heavy user and I get much more than that. Could you tell us what you do most of the time?

Sorry. I'm new. If I wake up around 8 it'll be half way gone around 12:30. I take a few phone calls. Check social networking sites. Then I'll play a few rounds of Candy Crush.

There is something wrong. This happened to me recently. Do a factory reset and DO NOT restore from your back up. Set it up as a new device and monitor the battery performance for a day. Don't install any extra apps and don't do any updates. If the battery is fine then its okay to start installing some apps. Beware the Maps update. I think that's what tripped mine up. If the battery is still a problem with a fresh OS then you need to exchange your phone before the return period expires.

You should be able to go all day with moderate use on one charge.

Okay. I reset it. & downloaded my apps again earlier today. I'll try that though. I ordered my phone from HSN so I'll be calling them & Sprint tomorrow.

Here's where I'm at for comparison. Auto brightness maybe?

That looks normal. The screen will drain the battery the fastest and so will games. How long was your screen on during this period? From the images, it looks like it may have been on at least 4 hours out of the 6 total hours. Try using the auto-brightness or reduce the brightness manually lower to where you can still use it.

Aside from the fact that you might have either a bad battery or a bad phone, because 3% after 5 hours is really bad I would say that one of the things that is killing your battery is not so much the screen on but the wi-fi. If you look at the second picture you have a solid line on the wi-fi..... remember that wi-fi while on is constantly searching for a network even though is connected. Your phone should get at least 8hrs of good battery on the S4.
