In app Web launch doesn't load anything

Whenever I click something in an app that initiates the browser, the browser doesn't load the actual page it just sits at the last page I had open.

For example in my weather app you can tap the weather to open the accuweather website. It opens Chrome but doesn't load the actual site.

I've noticed this with every app.

I use Chrome as my default browser, I'm not rooted.

Thanks in advance for any suggestions

UPDATE: it works normally with the default browser. So now my question is really how do I get this functionality with chrome?

try going into settings apps and then look for chrome and clear cache or yocan just factory reset it should fix it

I'll try the clear cache. Trying to avoid a factory reset. Thanks!
