Hey Guys, I tried all the available options on the forums to get my whatsapp running on my Samsung Galaxy S4 but none worked for me. Finally I tried my own way which worked for me. Try if this works for you guys as well.

1. Once you get the Verification failed message
2. Clear cache, Clear Data and Uninstalled WhatsApp
3 Fresh Install WhatsApp again
4 Reboot the Phone
5. Important, Remove Sim Card Turn Off Mobile Data, Connect to WiFi (if available or try with 3/4G)
6. Start doing the normal procedure to run WhatsApp eg, Agree Terms and Conditions
7. Once the download started which normally takes 4mins or so, let it run close to 3 Mins or more and then remove the battery
8. Wait for a min then put back in your SIM Card and turn on the mobile
9. Navigate to WhatsApp again it will continue from the point where we removed the battery and it would hopefully send you SMS and a URL once the download completes to confirm Mobile Verification

I was also having the same problem while connected to wifi.... After switching to mobile data.. It worked just fine.
