    Default Screen burn-in questions

    Hello!
I didn't use an amoled screen since the Nexus 1 as all HTC are LCD now.
I was on the verge of swapping my One with an S4,though I am afraid of the burn-in thingy.
How do you get this problem?
Using smart cover is likely to produce burnins?
Why all the reported cases od S4 burn-ins are in the statusbar area?

Yes, nearly all S4s already have burn in, but you can solve it by using a display app and displaying a bright white for a while.

Samsung makes you pay the price for those punchy colors.

That's absolute rubbish mate. Had my s4 since May and no sign of burn in. Brightness is always on full and do a lot of gaming on it too

Yah going to have to agree with Joe here. I've had my S4 since May as well and i have absolutely no problems.

You have to think about it this way. If you go looking for people who have burn in issues, you will probably find more people that do than don't because the people who don't aren't going to respond because their phone is working just fine.

Yeah, but I think the S4 has more burnin problems because of the smart cover letting the screen awake all the time no?
Anyway you can fix it with apps? I thought it was hardware problem

I use an alarm/clock app all night long, every night for several months and have 0 burn-in.
