Music issue - songs' first half-a-second isn't heard.

Hi,
I have a gs4 and I store all my music on my sd card (sandisk ultra class 10 32gb).
The problem I want to solve is that songs start at about .5 seconds after their beginning (the first note is never heard).
This happens with songs on the internal storage as well, though does not happen when using Google Play Music app.
I would happily move to using GPM, but the voice control, which I often use, controls only the built-in app. Is there a way to make it control GPM?

Maybe it's just latency from when it plays till it outputs? Either way you shouldn't notice .5 that much from many songs.. Or at least I wouldn't.

I'm not sure a flagship with massive processing-power will have that latency.
Besides, this does not happen when using Google Play Music app.
