Auto Correct on stock Samsung keyboard

there is a video on YouTube of someone turning on the auto correct feature on the samsung galaxy s4 stock Samsung keyboard. BUT people have said there is no auto correction feature on the stock keyboard and you'll have to download another keyboard to get auto correct.

can anyone verify this if it works on one of the major carrier versions (not international)

I've got Verizon's version. I can't find an auto-correct option in the Samsung keyboard settings. The Google keyboard does have auto-correct options on my phone.
