Galaxy S4 Calendar App

Hello,
I'm new to the Galaxy S4 and have allot to learn. One thing I can't figure out is how to get a notification window pop up on my phone from the calendar. I've set the notification time to 15 minutes before the event but nothing pops up and tells me I have an event coming. Is this normal or is there a way to get a notification on my lock or home screen? Any help would be appreciated.

Welcome to the forums.

Go into the settings on the calendar (Menu->Settings) and there's an 'Event notification' section that you're going to want to check out. The first thing is whether to do an alert or just show it in the notification bar. Further down is another option to display a notification if the screen is off.

Make sure those are set correctly.
