    hi when i plugged my phone into my laptop a security warning came up saying
    an application attempted to access system on your device without authroisation this attempt has been blocked deleting applications obtained from unauthorised sources may improve security

    does anyone know what this means ?

    I do not, but I have seen it come up a lot lately. I think it has something to do with Knox, but I am not sure.

    I have the same thing. Apparently it IS related to Knox whether you have it installed or not. In another thread, it's been said that a factory reset solves the issue. Samsung is also aware of the issue and claim to be working on a fix for it but with no ETA as of now.

    i unistalled an app on my phone called bitstrips and ive not had the message anymore
    so it seems that was the app causing the issue

    I also had deleted bitstrip app because that is the last app that I downloaded. But It didn't help and still receiving security information.

    Yeah I'm getting this same error constantly and it's driving me crazy. The only time I've pinpointed something actually causing it is every time I connect to my home wi-fi it will pop up. Other than that I'll randomly pick my phone up and it will have that security warning

    Did it ask to agree to new security policy, cause mine did, and I haven't seen that message since I updated?

    yeah mine did but i still get the message i thought it had been solved when i deleted the app but everytime i connect to my wifi i get this message again
