Default Sick of Touchwiz?! Me too!

I've owned two Samsung Galaxy smartphones since 2011 (S2 &S4). Don't get me wrong, I love the look and feel of Touchwiz, but I have never been satisfied with UI performance.
Touchwiz starts out okay, but gets laggier and laggier the longer the phone is powered on.
I figured it was caused by too many background processes but Advanced Task Killer didn't help, on either phone.
My S2 can be best summarized as the ultimate festival of lag- it hasn't ever run smoothly. Even my S4 frustratingly has daily lag fits requiring a reboot.
I thought "this can't be right".
As an experiment, I decided to make Nova Launcher Free my launcher for a day.
Lo and behold, everything ran smoothly and looked great (especially switching home screens which used to always lag/skip).
I was convinced Touchwiz was to blame, so I also installed Nova on my S2.
Shockingly, I was able to use the same animations as my S4 and have almost zero lag with transitions.

Concluding my rant, if you are upset with your phone's UI lagging all the time, it's not the phone's fault. It's not Android's fault. It's Touchwiz's fault.
Try installing any launcher, Go, Apex, Nova, etc and you'll be amazed at the power your phone has.
I can't be the only one who has switched launchers for performance purposes.
When is Samsung going to fix their bloated launcher so the "Android is so laggy" gossip will finally go away? I like Touchwiz, but I just hate how slow it is!

Ditto... I like how Themer can change the look of your phone RADICALLY. The only downside is you miss out on a bunch of features other launchers offer and (at least I haven't figured out how) everytime you change your set up, you lose widgets and stuff you already had in place.

Huge thumbs up for the Nova Launcher Pro from me also.
I've had it on two phones now and you can customize it to do about anything that you want.
    Basically 0 lag also.

When I traded in my S3 for my Moto I was on nearly 7 months of not running Stock TouchWiz ROMs. About 5 of those months were AOSP, and the lag never occurred.
    TouchWiz needs a diet.

I'm using the Google experience launcher, or whatever its called. Very happy with it and just wish menus were more Nexus like. I really don't want to lose things like the Samsung camera so flashing isn't in my near future.
