I have a Galaxy S4 (SPH-L720) I want to SIM unlock. It is already rooted using Kingo and I have Wanam Xposed & Titanium Backup installed.
*#27663368378# does nothing. I can enter Service Mode using *#0011#, but the steps to get to the debug screen from there do not work.
This problem may be due to the Baseband Ver. ending in MF9, so I want to downgrade to one ending in MDC.
The first step is to put the phone in download mode by holding the down volume/home/power buttons together. However, it refuses to go into download mode. It either reboots or powers off.
Is this something to do with the rooting or settings I may have changed after rooting?
Alternately, will buying an app that will unlock via a USB cable & codes work better?
