    Default Viewing SMS on PC

The screen on my S4 is broken but the phone itself seems to be working OK, I just can't see anything. I am getting a replacement phone but in the meantime I would desperately like to see my SMS messages, and any missed calls. I know quite a few have arrived as the audio notifications have let me know.

I have backed up the phone using Kies 3 but there doesn't seem any way of viewing the SMS messages on my PC. I've spent a long time searching online but the only solutions I have found seem to require me to install an app on the S4 and/or switch it into debugging mode. I can't do either of these because the screen is dead. I don't know if Kies Air is installed on my S4 and I can't find it on the Google Play store to install, but even if I could I cannot open that, or any, app.

Is there a way that I can see the SMS messages without having to install or open/run anything else on the phone?
