Default Battery draining fast after KK Update

A friend of mine has the galaxy s4 for att and recently got the KitKat update. She now says the battery drains fast and even dies overnight so she has to leave it on the charger to prevent that. Has anyone else had this issue or know what it could be? Thanks for any input.

Yes! Kitkat is a battery hog! It can account for about 30%- 40% of my Galaxy S4 battery life...wish I never installed it...lol.
I usually charge my phone to 100% then turn the phone off before I go to sleep. I hear it's not really good to leave your phone on the charger all night.
