I have a friend with S4 on AT&T. We generally have 4G LTE in our area. He claims that the S4 phone call functionality is about 50% worse than iPhone for our area. His old flip phone on AT&T gets great reception. MY old flip phone on AT&T also gets great reception. He has had to add a signal booster with auxiliary antenna to his car to get anything resembling good reception.
Two questions: Why would this be? Are Galaxy phone radios THAT much worse than the iPhone?
If the flip phones are functioning well on 2G or 3G, wouldn't the S4 just switch to 3G or 2G for voice if 4G was not strong?
