Hi, I live in the Philippines and I bought a Samsung Galaxy S4 from an online shop 2 months ago. Upon turning it on, I noticed that before the Samsung Galaxy S4 logo would appear, the Swisscom logo would pop up first ( so I assume that this is a carrier based phone). It didn't matter to me since I can still use a local based sim (so maybe it's already unlocked somehow).
I heard that the Android 4.4 update has already been released for some UK based carriers and I am still not getting any updates. I am just wondering, does it have something to do with the fact that I have a European carrier based phone and I am outside Europe? Or maybe it has something to do with region locking? Hoping that someone could shed me some light with this issue. Thanks.
