Default Can I Restore Deleted Video from System Memory?

I took a video from my Galaxy S4 recently and accidentally removed it.

I used Remo Recover for Android to scan my MicroSD card for deleted videos, but it wasn't there, which leads me to believe that it was stored to the system memory.

I've tried Wondershare Dr. Phone and a few other free softwares to try to look for deleted files on the system memory to no avail.

Does anyone have a (preferably free) software they can recommend that they know for sure can help me scan and recover data from the system memory?

    Hello.

    Check out this article: http://www.androidpit.com/how-to-recover-lost-data

They used a program called Recuva and maybe that will help you.

For future occasions, you should try Dumpster.

    https://play.google.com/store/apps/d...loota.dumpster

It acts like the recycle bin in Windows. If you accidentally delete something you wanted, you can easily go get it back. It is a nifty app that could save you. Let me know if you have more questions.

But that only works for stuff that was deleted AFTER that app was installed, though, right?

I downloaded and installed Recuva, however I'm not sure what to select on the "File Type" screen.

When I go to 'in a specific location' Can I Restore Deleted Video from System Memory?-issue.png, I can't select my device, since it doesn't have a drive letter.

To get around this, could I copy and paste the DCIM directory from my phone and paste it into the C: drive on the computer and scan the copy of the directory that I copy to the computer?

I don't think that would work, being that it's a different physical storage location, but thought I'd ask anyways.

It might work. Maybe it will work that way. I forgot to ask, do you have root?
