Head over to Settings>>Application Manager>>ALL...View the desired app.If the 'Uninstall' button is greyed out it means you cannot uninstall it. And the apps you've mentioned Flipboard is a news reader,Hangouts is your IM, Dropbox and Drive are cloud storage clients, Trip Advisor is uhh, a trip advisor Rest are Samsung versions of popular apps. And WatchON? Don't know about that! Maybe its ChatON (Samsung's IM)

So basically if the uninstall box is active(not greyed out) I can remove the app without system instability. What alarmed me was when I went to remove one of the pre-installed Samsung apps the message popped up "if removed system can become unstable" or something close to that message. So I just want to make sure there was not some sort of hidden system files in the Samsung apps. Also I know this is off subject, but I want to root my phone as well. When I went to the root your phone section I did not see US Cellular listed in the tutorials, and the author recommended to ask on the forums if your phone is not listed. Any ideas????

WatchON is a TV program/remote control app. You can remove ANY app if you get root permission.

You cannot uninstall pre-installed apps, system apps without root access, that is by rooting your phone. If it says that it is about to remove those apps that means it already has root privileges which is unlikely. What you may have seen may be 'The app will be restored to the factory version' It just removes the latest update and goes back to the factory version.About rooting, the actual process is easy, but the method you choose is important as it may brick your device. i suggest you check if Framaroot works. It is an app which roots(worked for me). It isn't available on Google Play. You have to sideload it.Use caution though
