Sprint non-Spark GS4, can't setup a lockscreen

Whenever I try to add one, my only tap-able options are Passcode or Password. I did install, and then uninstall Foxfi earlier, as well as clearing my certificates, and I have no device administrators at the moment, but I still can't set up my Lockscreen. When I select one of the two options, I can enter the code, but then the lockscreen type is still "swipe". I did attempt to encrypt my GS4 earlier, but it never actually completed. When I try to "encrypt" now, I just get "Setup lockscreen", and when I do it, it just loops back as it doesn't set the lockscreen. Does anyone have a thought, short of restoring as I'd like to avoid that if possible? I can if needed though.
