Help Needed, Wrong Contact

Hello,

I have a Samsung Galaxy S4 i9500. I am having an issue with my contacts I am hoping someone can help me with.

When I go to send a text to my father in law and I click on his name in the "add recipient" box it comes up as my mother in law instead of him. If I send the text msg he still gets it but it shows as it sends to her name and not his and when I get a reply it is also under her name and not his. So its sending to his phone but the number and user icon displayed is hers. Is there any way I can stop it from doing this? I did check to see if the accounts were linked or something and they don't appear to be.

Thank you.

Re: Help Needed, Wrong Contact

Try wiping data and force stop Messaging app. If it's still happening, try rebooting.

Tried all that, I have also removed them both from contacts and re-entered them as new contacts and its still happening.

Re: Help Needed, Wrong Contact

Very likely that a backup to your Gmail or Samsung account is causing the return of the issue. When you delete the two contacts again, force a sync to your Gmail and Samsung accounts before you reinstate the two contacts. Reboot the phone. Hope this helps.
