Alternative to Android File Transfer for Mac

I used android file transfer but it just doesn't work anymore... it won't recognize my device... What else works with mac? I've tried airdrop, only works with wifi. I need something that will work with only a usb connection. I won't always have wifi when I want to transfer photos.

Did you change any settings on your phone? It should be set to MTP (you can change this in from the notification shade when you plug in your phone)

it is set to MTP, it still does not work.

Is your phone recognized on any other computers? Like on a Windows PC?

Your not alone, the s6 doesnt work with my macbook aswell..
