How do I make a hotspot to just keep trying to connect?

How to make hotspot just keep trying to connect ..

When connex are spotty riding on the train, my s4 just gives up when it loses connectivity with "Unable to connect to data network, turning off hotspot"

... I grow weary of having to manually reconnect it every time this happens. It there a way to make it just keep trying?

Forever, until you turn it off manually? You don't want that. Every time it tries is a waste of battery. If you ride for half an hour and the phone keeps trying to reconnect every 10 seconds, you'll get home with a dead battery. If it can't re-establish connection in a few tries, it's not going to for a while. You should have checked which carrier has solid coverage on your ride before choosing the one you have.

(The train has electrical outlets, battery is not an issue ) Is there a way to do make it keep retrying? The dead spots do not last that long while the train is moving, so it doesn't take it a half an hour to reconnect. It just gives up too soon
