Why is my Galaxy S4 (T-Mobile) screen flickering madly and apps are randomly opening?

My Galaxy S4 (T-Mobile) screen is flickering madly, apps randomly opening.

My S4 has started constantly flickering, and several apps (Trip Advisor/Camera/QR reader) have been spontaneously opening. Trip Advisor is also showing Australian cities, even though I never set or searched anything there.

I can barely keep it stopped long enough to enter my PIN to unlock it.

Tried deleting a couple of apps I had recently installed (Waze was one), and some other, older apps I didn't use much.

I'm not the most technically savvy guy, but I have a 19 year old son, so he may be able to translate for me.

Any thoughts/ideas would be much appreciated.

Sounds like it could be a screen problem. If you have a screen protector on, remove it and see if the problem persists.
