How can I transfer files to a PC with a broken screen?

Transferring Files to PC with a Broken Screen

Alright, so this is kinda complicated. I have a S4 with a broken screen and digitizer. The phone also has a lock on it, and I want to get some files off of it.

Right now I am using an OTG cable wit a USB cable to type in the PIN lock to unlock the phone. So I can get the screen to be "on" but I can't see anything, obviously. When I plug the phone into my computer it appears as a camera and it shows me the total size of the drive and the used space. When I navigate inside it it shows all the appropriate folders, but when I go inside them they are all empty.

I presume the phone is in the wrong mode, so I can't enable the proper PC connection, but so far I haven't been able to guess my way through the menus to change the settings.
