Why can't I find a system update on my S4?

Can't find system update on S4

I have a SGH-1337 with Android Version 4.4.4.
It was an unlocked A T & T device, but I bought it used and am on Ting Mobile, with the Sprint network.
I get poor coverage around my house and I don't live in the boondocks. Texts don't go through, voice mail doesn't get delivered and I have Emergency Service only way too frequently.
I found out that the PRl (preferred roaming list) may not be set properly.
The way to check on the s4 is settings>more>system update.
The problem is that system update is nowhere to be found on my phone.
Where is it?

It seems to be locked for AT&T. Try to download the settings from T-Mobile center (Just choose your mobile type and then let the operator send you settings for SMS, MMS, WiFi and so on...)

I have a Galaxy s4 and was having problems after upgrading to windows 10
after trying everything including keis and turning on debugging mode on my phone.
All I did was unplug the phone from the computer and restarted the phone
then I plugged it back in and it recognized the phone updated with a driver
Now it works just fine...This worked for me.. May not be a cure all remedy
bottom line I'm happy and don't have to seek any more solutions!

Thanks for the tip. Not quite sure how to go about doing this.
Why would I try to download settings from T-Mobile?
Its an A t & t phone.
Can you elaborate?
