How can I stop my Samsung Galaxy S4 digitizer from locking up?

my samsung galaxy s4 digitizer keeps locking up

i changed my screen, lcd, and digitzer package in my samsung galaxy s4 couple days ago and ever since then my phone would freeze up every minute or 2... the home button, power and volume buttons still work but nothing else on the touch screen responds... but when i turn off the screen with the power button for a few seconds and turn it back on it will work for a few minutes and then freeze up again....

Welcome to AC.

I guess you could try a Factory Reset if all your personal data is backed up. Let us know if you need advice about that.
