why is iheartradio constantly running in background

My iheartradio app keeps opening itself and runs in the background on my Samsung Galaxy S4. How do I stop this?

Re: why is iheartradio constantly running in background

Welcome to Android Central! The way Android works, the system always wants to keep RAM relatively full (around 70-80% or so). This means it will automatically apps and keep them in RAM--which ones it opens depends on various factors. Don't bother trying to close the app, because either it or some other app will open in its place. If you keep closing apps, you can increase battery drain, because closing and opening apps take energy. See these articles:

If you never use IHeartRadio, either uninstall it or disable it (the latter is if it's a preinstalled app).
