hey i am using samsung galaxy s4 and facing battery and rebooting problems

i am facing some battery problem and also phone restarts on its own while using some apps specially when the battery is below 40% and there is alot of heating problems in my s4
and when i went to samsung service center there an engineer told me that there are problems in motherboard so he will be replacing the motherboard
so is it wise to change the motherboard in first place and also after changing the motherboard will there be any issue ???

It's also worth trying a new or different battery.
