Mobile Network Type: Unknown due to water damage
After 4 days with my Samsung Galaxy S4 it fell out of my pocket into the toilet (yay!). I dried it out for a few days, and when I turned it back on everything worked (Wifi works, display is fine, camera, etc) however I cannot make or receive calls because I get the message ¨Emergency calls only¨. The status shows the following:
Mobile network type: Unknown
Service state: Out of service
Roaming: Not roaming
Mobile network state: Disconnected
My phone number: Unknown
I have done a factory reset and tried the SIM in another phone (no problem) so I´m assuming it´s a hardware problem. I´m curious to know if replacing the SIM tray would fix it or if it´s a different problem entirely.
Would love to get peoples feedback on what the problem could be.
