Galaxy S4 turned into brick today

I know the Galaxy S4 is an old phone by today's standards, but it's been a great phone for me. Today it became a brick. Out of the blue, it had a very long vibrate and then stopped working. We even tried a factory reset, but the phone is toast. I suspect Sprint or Samsung pushed out an update that caused this, so I wanted to post this in case anyone else has the same problem.

You should try flashing the original firmware for your mobile phone model (you can download them from here) using ODIN (you can also download it from the same link).

Does it power up at all? Did you do a battery pull? If it's not an internal hardware issue you can find info on XDA on using ODIN on your computer and where and how to download the stock file.

If you haven't done it before don't rush it. Read thoroughly.
