Why have all my pictures disappeared?

i have a galaxys5 sport. took some pictures then deleted some.all of my pictures are gone.

I have a galaxys5 sport. i recently took some pictures them deleted what i didn't want. Then all of my pictures were gone. i found them in dropbox, however i can't open them. my phone say please download an app to open. not knowing what app. i logged on to my computer and went to dropbox. the pictures are there, but you can't see a whst5the picture is it's just a number. so i clicked on a random picture and it is zoomed it to only one part of the picture. what can i do to get ny picture to show up as they were taken?

Welcome to Android Central! Do you know if the camera app is set to save photos to Internal Storage or the external SD card by default? If it's the SD card, it's possible the card is faulty or corrupt.
