The alerts themselves are probably the virus. Clean the phone using Malwarebytes Anti-Malware and any good anti-virus (one at a time, and they can take over 24 hours for the initial run of each).

If you get that while browsing *any* website, then it is probably a simple pop-up ad.

I had this problem on Marshmallow on galaxy s5. The safe boot and virus removal did not work for me. What did work for me was uninstalling chrome and chrome beta and booting. I do not use firefox.

I have had the exact same message (28.1% damaged after visitng 'adult sites') on my samsung galaxy core prime. It's a scam, the virus (if there is one) is the alert itself. Don't tap the fix it button unless you want to wreck your phone.

This link seems questionable. I'm always a little leery of a site promoting their free download to fix the problem. Seems like a two prong attack. Have the warning pop up and catch some folks with that method. And catch others googling for a solution. The hand tailored fix feels to good to be true. How does one vet if an information site is legit?

This is no different than spam email. As long as you don't open the link your good. On your Samsung back out with the left button and shut down whatever Internet browser your using. Use a cleaner site like Pornhub or youporn! You won't get those.

    Honestly who doesn't watch a little porn😂

I was just hit with this. knew it was a load of BS but looked it up after I removed it.

    1. shutdown and start up your phone, to force it to exit chrome
2.uninstall and re install the google chrome app, malware should be gone.

I get the same thing AND I have a virus protection. I will not be getting another android phone
I would not worry about what platform you use Gabgoodwin because all platforms are at potential risk
Virus protection programs cannot stop everything, its up to general common sense for the rest

roaming malware is a pain in the *** but usually only that.

    Hi.

I have also received this message and whilst I have seen on a few threads that this is just a hoax post, my phone is acting like it's been affected by a virus. I cannot access my phonebook, delete any text messages and a number of my apps such as Whatsapp and Facebook messenger just close themselves upon opening. Could the 2 be connected or is this likely to be a completely different problem that has coincidentally happened after I received this message.

I have master reset my device and it doesn't seem to have made any difference. Help!!

I got it on my iPad from downloading a website "app". It gave me the same popup. The adult website thing means the website you got it from. A ton of web browsers have that popup set for when you get a four virus. If I were you I'd stick to downloading apps from trusted websites. It can also happen on apps from the appstore/google play store. The most common app people get the virus from is a voice changer. The most smartest thing to do is go get Lookout Its a trusted app that gets rid of viruses. I hope this is helpful to you!

Adware. DNSChanger. Malware bots. Ad servers.

I have tried paid Lookout, went back to Kaspersky. Also keep a copy of Malwarebytes. And picked up a router with stronger firmware and enabled its own adware block and control list, porn block.

Recently, " we see you don't have any A/V software" and a link to DL one!!

Also, I didn't feel safe with Chrome, didn't like the AdBlock browsers, but totally liking Ghostery browser.

I don't know if Android can suffer from a download drive-in, no action by user req'd other than KK and on or directed to site.

Jan 5 2017 security update had a number of needed vulnerabilities patched.
