Just rooted Verizon Galaxy S5

Hey guys,
I haven't rooted since the Droid X so it's been a while since I've kept up with the forums. Please pardon my noob questions.

Now that I've rooted my Verizon S5 it is time to look for a ROM. Although, I'm noticing that the ROMS out aren't listing my device name SM-G900V.
1.Does this mean those roms won't work on my device?
2. What ROMs WILL work on my device.

Not to sound ignorant but why would you root a top end device that clearly needs NO rooting?

Haha good question man, the reason for me is that I've always liked customizing my phone and if I can tweak something to make it more personal or easier to use then I'll jump for it haha.
Most people root to get rid of bloat wear that are factory set, and others do it to speed up their phone.
Look up some rooted phones on YouTube and see the difference between that and the stock. They have some pretty cool ROMS out there.
But other than that it's just personalization for me.

Oh it needs rooting, you can do so much and make the phone way faster than stock.

Any device running KitKat needs rooting, so that I can use the darn SD card that KitKat won't let my apps touch.
