I've been looking at downgrading my S5 from 5.0 to 4.4.2. Loss of certain features and ongoing usability issues are my reasons.

My phone is a Samsung Galaxy S5 SM-G900I.

Now I've been looking at this tutorial (forums.androidcentral.com/samsung-galaxy-s5/489071-tutorial-downgrade-samsung-galaxy-s5-5-0-4-4-kitkat.html) and I relatively understand it and can follow along well enough. However I run into problems on which Firmware to choose. A Google search tells me contradictory information. One site says that I can use any countries firmware as long as it matches the phones model number while another says to match the country and model number to the origin country.

I live in Australia and have a S5 from Taiwan. If it won't brick my phone I was going to reflash it with an Australian firmware.

Can anyone tell me if I can use any countries firmware as long as it matches the model number or do I have to match the origin country as well?
