Hi everyone,

I'm wondering if it's possible to downgrade my Verizon S5 (which is currently running the lollipop BOC4 firmware) to a kitkat version and use towelroot?

From what I've read, the BOE1 firmware locks the bootloader and makes rooting or downgrading (at present) impossible. Is the BOC4 firmware also locked in the same manner? Am I totally screwed?

Either way, thanks for the help!

Hello and welcome to Android Central TheTomatoCat!

So long as you have not upgraded to the latest Verizon OE1 firmware release, which contains Verizon's own mega locked down bootloader, you will be able to downgrade and root.
