is it pretty safe to assume that the Verizon Samsung Galaxy S5 will sell for about $299?

I'd guess either 149 or 199 for the smaller internal storage version and 249 or 299 for the higher, but yeah you're in the right range (in my opinion).

Thanks! I seriously doubt that Samsun or Verizon will price it at $149, even for the 16GB version. That sort of cheapens a high-end phone, no? :D

Probably $199 for the 16GB version if there is one. And another $50 or $100 for the higher storage version

I think $299 is a good guess for the 32 GB version. I'll say $349 for a 64 GB version. And full retail will be around $700. But you just know that within 2-3 months, they'll start having price cuts or sales.

My guess would be $200

I think it'll start at $199.99 on-contract.

I also think $199.99 starting on-contract pricing.

I wonder what the off-contract price would be for those wanting to purchase outright to keep unlimited data intact. Perhaps $599.00?

Check this article: Samsung?€™s New Galaxy Said to Feature Bigger, Sharper Display - Bloomberg

Note the point about pricing. Samsung is 'thinking' about reducing the price for S-series this year.
Interesting article. The guys talked about the possibility of a new Gear alongside the S5 or maybe even a new Note. Would be cool to see it released with the S5 and with wider compatibility at release, unlike the current model which was only compatible with the Note 3 at launch.

There have been rumors that the GS5 will be priced lower than prior GS devices so if that is true then we could see it in the $199-249 range on contract and perhaps $599-649 full price. LG seems to be far more aggressive in pricing their hardware. Too bad their OS update track record hasn't been stellar.

Probably $249 with a $50 rebate or straight $199. Maybe they'll sell a version with a higher capacity for $50 more.

Funny how Verizon killed off MIR's only to bring them back because they know people will cut that UPC code to get that $50 going asap otherwise they forget about it and then you can't return the phone.
