Galaxy S5: Buying cases ahead of release?

I just ordered one off of amazon, but just want to know, have any of you guys ordered a case before a phone came out before? Will the case accurately fit? Like nice n' tight?

Depends on the case manufacturer. Brand name cases usually fit perfectly, even if released before the phone is. Cheap cases on Amazon or eBay might not

Before the first DROID officially came out, I took it to a Verizon store to see if they'd sell me any accessories early. They did.

There is no guarantee. Even my otterbox defender case didn't fit well.

But just buy from a reputable vendor with a good return policy and you would be fine.

I'm not really worried about wasting money because it's just 13$ but I'd like a nice fitting case for when I pick up my phone from the store

Spigen is a good company. You should be fine.

I haven't personally purchased one of their cases (yet). But you could check out Danny on YouTube: https://www.youtube.com/user/dannywinget/videos

If you scroll through his videos he reviews quite a few Spigen cases in great detail. His other videos are pretty great too.

I have a spigen slim armor case on my note 3. It cracked near the volume button when I was removing the case. I got a warranty replacement that came cracked in the exact same spot right out of the bag

I don't think they're out yet but I'm holding off on buying a case until UAG releases them. Have one on my s4 and this thing has survived multiple drops 5+ feet off the floor (I'm a clutz)

I had a UAG case for my note 2 and loved it. Looked great and extremely durable and long lasting. Had it for a year and still looked great.

Yes, I have purchased cases for different devices before they was actually released on several occassions. I usually stick with "name brands", because of the known quality of their products.
