Galaxy S5: Simultaneous voice and data over 3g on Sprint?

I know the s3 had it but it went away with the s4. I wonder if the s5 will have it. I know you can get simultaneous voice and data over LTE, but can it be done on 3g?

Actually all the sprint triband phones that have already been released can't even do simultaneous voice and LTE.

The S4 you have is not Tri-band and that's why. All new phones since the Nexus 5 forth on Sprint, will be Tri-band and as of right now, no voice over 3G or LTE. I'm positive a fix will be found in the very near future as this is a step back and customers want this.

The network vision coverage is not big enough or covers sufficient enough of the country, for this to happen any time yet. Maybe in 2015.

well that sucks!! i hope its not a hardware issue

the s3 had an extra SVDO radio to allow it on 3g

upgrading to the s4 made me lose that since it lacked the SVDO radio

now, upgrading to the s5, we will even lose it over LTE...that is a HUGE bummer

My S4 does SVLTE but I want to upgrade to the S5. How can I upgrade if the S5 doesn't have it? Total step backwards for Sprint.

seriously...upgrading from s3-->s4 was a loss of SVDO

now it seems upgrading from S4-->s5, there will be a loss of SVLTE

Source for this "update" you're waiting on? I know it's possible if it were enabled in a software update, but I haven't seen anything official regarding that...

Look at where under features it shows it will support spark after an update.
