I bought my S5 outright, full price. It is MINE (in my eyes).

So can I get Verizon to unlock the sim ? unlock the bootloader ? unlock anything else ?

The S5 should already be "SIM Unlocked" if you purchased the Verizon version. Unlocking the boot-loader is always up to you, however it does typically void warranty to do so.

As Darth said, it is factory sim unlocked. If you want the bootloader unlocked, get the developer edition (not sure if it is out yet)

If one roots, doesn't it do something to Knox and voids the warranty? Somehow I feel Samsung knows who has rooted and who hasn't via the Knox application.
