No Sound, Google Hangouts and Skype on S5 (Sprint)

My wife and I just got our Galaxy S5's. We downloaded Skype and tested them out on our home network wifi. Mine worked fine. I could hear and see her. She could get video, but no sound. Tried Google Hangouts and same thing. Any ideas why this may be? We are both on Sprint if that makes any difference as well. A Google search and search of these forums didn't seem to come up with anything on this for these phones.
